Are you a morning person or a night owl? Night owl for sure!

I love your song ‘Cruel’. What inspired you to write and record this song?

I chose to record this song the first time I heard it. I felt instantly connected to the message and I recognized that it talks about a cycle everyone has experienced. Knowing how much I relate to that made me confident that audiences could relate to it too which is ultimately my main goal as an artist.

How would you describe your ideal day?

Sleeping in late, so late that I miss breakfast and get to start in with lunch (I find breakfast food to be extremely overrated). Workout, shop, not open a single textbook. Come home and cook dinner. Enjoy said dinner and binge watch something on Netflix.

Which of your own songs is your personal favorite?

That's so hard... depends on my mood, but either Cruel or I Don't Want To Catch My Breath.

What is the best compliment you’ve received as a singer/songwriter?

Someone told me how impressed they were with my "great placement" while we were recording. That made me feel good!

What do you strive to achieve as an artist? What is the legacy that you want to leave behind?

I want to be as relatable as possible because my favorite artists are the ones whose songs I can relate to. My legacy is even more important to me than that. More than people knowing the lyrics to my songs, I want to treat people with respect. I want to look back and know that I did right by everyone I worked with. I'm a firm believer that there's enough sun for everybody and I want my legacy to reflect that belief.

When did you know you for sure that wanted to be a professional recording artist? How would you describe the journey from there to now?
I have been working in the music industry for a while. I got started managing my brothers' band and ultimately decided about 2 years ago that I wanted to explore being an artist myself. I found a great producer and we talked about the next steps and an EP was something I really wanted to do. He empowered me to take the reins on the project and I really ran with it. I wanted to get music out as soon as I could so it was a lot of work but I'm really proud of what we created.

Do you have any other projects in the pipeline? When can we expect to hear more from you?

I'm writing a lot and I've been recording a few things here and there. I'm really excited to get them to a point where they are ready to share!
